Kamiymoji Challenge

Today, let me share something very interesting.😋

A couple days ago, I picked up a calligraphy brush and wrote the below, Hifumi Norito in Kamiyomoji. 

For those who have never heard the word "Kamiyomoji" (神代文字 in Japanese), please visit my website to see my Kamiyomoji Kotodama Calligraphy Arts section.

This text is "Hifumi Norito" which is believed to bring healing or good fortunes, written in one of Kamiyomoji characters, called "Reikai Kusa Moji."

To be more exact, this isn't an original Kamiyomoji, the shapes are similar but more fluid than the original Ahiru-Kusa Moji, and it seems some people use it especially for healing. 

In performing Calligraphy, you use your brush to create thin & thick brush stroke on the paper, which often creates beautiful artistic shapes. It is said that these sensitive movements use  your basal ganglia which are a key part of the network of brain cells & nerves that control your body's voluntary movements. 

Combined with Kamiyomoji & Norito healing power, writing them in calligraphy creates healing effects on various physical symptoms. 

Well, so I gave it a try this time. 😉

One Magical Day

Hi, how's it going, everyone?❤

Today, I would like to share the beautiful skies I encountered yesterday.😳💓

You may have heard that in Japan, it is believed that there are divine spirits in all creations in our life, which are called, Yaoyorozu-no-Kami" meaning "8,000,000 deities". 

And the clouds are no exception.

the sky I saw yesterday was soooo beautiful & magical, it made me think "there are deities all over!"🙏

There are the cloud called "Dragon Clouds" which look like Dragons. Do you see that?

I also found the rare clouds, another Dragon Clouds, which looks like two dragons going spiral upward & downward, between the earth & the heaven. In Japan, it is believed to bring good fortunes.

The magic didn't stop there. When the cloud started to fade away, I found a little rainbow shining bright next to it. (Through the lenz, it is really Yellowish, but it looks more like rainbow colors in naked eyes. )

Well, afterward, this little rainbow started to shine like a star.... It was truly beautiful, but weird at the same time.   Actually, I was able to film it,  but I couldn't upload the video through this computer, sorry. Maybe some other time, then. 

As you may already notice from my artworks, I am quite spiritual myself. And, honestly, since last year, I have started to see this kind of short rainbows quite often. Some people say, it is a rainbow dragon, others say it has something to do with ascension, etc...Either way, it seems to be thought to bring good-luck, so I just let it happen (secretly) hoping for the best. 😌

Well, while I wait for the good  fortunes fall upon me, I also pray for all of you who enjoyed the beautiful clouds & a rainbow in Japan with me. 

May 8,000,000 deities in Japan bring you love, peace & happiness to you & your loved ones!

Back to Basics! 2025 New Year's Resolution!

How are you doing? Everyone!

Hope everything is well with your New Year's start.😄

Since writing down my first calligraphy of the New Year, I have been playing around with writing other words. 

And, this is my second piece of a calligraphy of the Year, 2025!

The words read "Tsutsushimitena Okotariso" which means, "You must not let your guard down." which is the words of Japanese deities called "Yamato-hime"

She shows up in a story of "Kojiki"&"Nihonnshoki" which are  two oldest history books of Japan. The words were said to the prince who is her nephew when he first set out on a quest to subjugate the eastern region of Japan and she gave him the special sword called "the Sword of Kusanagi" which was found in the body of devious 8 headed snakes that the old lord, Susanoo defeated. The prince Yamatotakeru-no-mikoto overcame obstacles by using the sword, and was successfully be able to subjugate the Eastern regions of Japan. 

However, afterward, he failed to continue to take heed to the advice of his aunt, he left the sword on the way to West. Then from the point, his life went to downfall.....

...well, something like that. 

Yamato-hime is one of the first followers when one of the prominent deities of Japan, Amaterasu was moved to Ise region where Ise-shrine is currently located. She is a kind of a small role in a historical story, but her words are still alive to the present time, teaching us an important lesson.

Lately in Japan, the news of sex-scandals of  big names in show business is going around...,well, I do not know the details, and probably never get to know the truth of what really happened, so I try not to care much....But, I feel like it is definitely teaching us something important. 

"Why is it so hard to stay humble to yourself?"

I feel like this question is something that we all should keep asking to yourself  wherever you are on the stage of your life, as long as you live. I am talking about "being humble to yourself, not necessarily to other people" When do we start to forget our initial intentions, and start taking everything for granted??? I guess this is a pitfall that everyone could fall into, including myself, of course...

Wondering around those things, I wrote the words of Yamato-hime.

"Tsutsushimitena, Okotariso" 

Well, though an English translation would be "Do not let your guard down". But, to me, it sounds a little bit like your attitude toward outer world. The meaning of this words is more like toward your inner self. In Japan, there is a saying "Don't forget your initial intentions." which is kind of similar to "Go back to basics." To me, these meanings are more like it. 😌

The characters on the artworks are one of Kamiyomoji (ancient characters used long before current Japanese characters were created) called "Akiru-kusa moji" And the words there are "I, Ro, Ha, Ni, Ho, He, To" which are the beginning of the old song which is created by using 48 sounds of Japanese language, also is considered to bring healing & good lucks.

Happy New Year!! 2025!

 Happy New Year! Everyone!💕

Hope you all are having a great new start in 2025!Many of you are probably having so much fun with your loved ones, celebrating the New Year. 

In Japan, we, Japanese have many unique traditional customs to celebrate the new year.or those who are interested in Japanese culture or love Wabi-Sabi traditional Japanese stuffs,  I DO recommend that you visit during the new years holidays and see how Japanese celebrate the New Year. I would say, It's just so Japanese.

Even while I was living in the United States, I would miss the new years traditional customs of Japan every year. 

For example, visiting temples to hear the sound of New Years Eve bell, or  even ringing the bell by yourself, which is rung 108 times altogether and visiting shrines at the midnight of New Year's Day are somethings that you might want to try if you are interested in Japanese cultures. Many of the food that we cook for New Years Day is also special. You might want to have a taste as well. 

Well, as for me, I kind of don't like going to the places with big crowds ( which makes me drained )So, I made my first visit of the year to shrine on 3rd of January.

(This shrine is know for one of the story in Kojiki, one of the oldest Japanese history books, which one princess sacrificed herself to the sea in order to calm the storm.)

This is called "Kakizome" which is the first piece of calligraphy for the New Year.

It is also one of Japanese traditional events for the New Year, which you write your New Year's resolution, or your favorite words, etc in a form of calligraphy. This year, I chose "Hifumi-Norito" which is the psalm-like song made up with all 48 sounds of Japanese characters, thought to bring luck or expel negativity.  (Please more info about "Norito" at my website)

I just miss the holiday seasons I spent in America. 😊I loved to feel the spirit of giving everywhere and I remember the people in Manhattan were very busy working even on Christmas Eve, and the next day on Christmas, most of the shops are closed and the city become very quiet. People spent quiet time with loved ones at home, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. It was just so beautiful...

＊“AI Collaboration Arts "Euphoric Town" Illustration Series”
Using my previous artworks, "Euphoric Town" Acrylic Illustration Series, I generate them on OpenAI and added my digital illustrations and finish them. Now I have gotten into 3rd ~ 4th Stage. The idea of this project represents my positive message of us, human beings getting along with AI technology. Hope you enjoy the progress on each stage;-) (The towns are getting bigger now:-)Euphoric Town 1st Stage(Original Acrylic Illustrations↓）

＊～＊Present＊～＊ Getting into Euphoric Town 3rd Stage！Using the illustrations that are created on the 2nd Stage as originals for AI generation, I mixed the generated images and finished them with my own digital illustrations. Both canvas size & the towns in the artworks are betting bigger & bigger:-) Still in progress to the final Stage!

＊“Kamiyomoji Kotodama Calligraphy Arts”　It's the arts using Japanese ancient characters called "Kamiyomoji" which means, "the characters of divine era" I mixed with Japanese Kotodama, Norito that are believed to bring good fortunes along with other good-luck elements such as Japanese dragons & deities in the artworks.

＊“EuphorianZ Official Charactor, Niji-Bow! (虹坊）！”NijiBow(虹坊) is a prince of the rainbow kingdom where is located in somewhere over the rainbow. He is a miracle boy who was born between a rainbow spirit father and a human mother. He is able to cast a real magic by using a flower petal of the rainbow sunflower that he carries with him all the time!!

＊“神代文字言霊カリグラフィーアート”　古代日本で使用されていたとされる神代文字や言霊、祝詞などを使い開運やヒーリングなどの祈りを添えたアートです。書道や墨絵、水彩などのイメージをベースにデジタルで仕上げています。
